HENRY JONES LONDON SILVER Henry Jones, London, made circa 1690. Fine silver and tortoiseshell, pair-cased early balance spring, single-hand pocket watch.
Outer: two-body, polished, Inner: two-body, "bassine", polished, deep back, split bezel, loose ring pendant. Silver "champlevé" with radial Roman numerals and inner half and quarter-hour divisions, the center decorated with scrolls and the signature cartouches. Fleur-de-lys steel hour pointer. 40 mm., hinged, gilt brass full plate with divided Egyptian pillars, fusée and chain, verge escapement, plain steel three-arm balance, flat balance spring, gilt brass winged clock pierced and engraved with foliage.
