HENRY CAPT QUARTER REPEATER DEMI CHRONOMETER YELLOW GOLD Henry Capt, Genève, "Répétition Demi-Chronometre", No. 29801. Made circa 1870. Very fine and rare, 18K yellow gold, quarter-repeating, hunting cased keyless lever "demi chronometre" pocket watch with gold wheel train.

He nry Capt to indicate that the movement was
sent to the Observatory for chronometric control,
but that for commercial reasons, it did not remain
long enough to complete the entire course of
testing. To our knowledge, only two Genevan firms
employed the denomination "Demi-Chronomètre":
Henry Capt and Vacheron Constantin.
