DIAM. 48.5 mm. THICKNESS 22 mm. Announced at BASEL WORD IN 2009, the CONCORD QUANTUM GRAVITY BI-AXIAL TOURBILLON was released in a limited edition of only 10 pieces in titanium with white gold elements. Designed and developed by Concord's specialist futuristic watchmaking division 'C LAB SERIES' utilizing a movement created by BNB Concept, it features an aerial bi-axial tourbillon held by an arm bridge and secured via a web of steel cables that compensate for temperature variation. One of most visual characteristic of the model is the prominent green liquid of phosphorous nanoparticles that display the 3-day power reserve. The liquid, which rises and falls via a mechanical cylinder, glows in the dark when subject to light. According to the original press release the built is comprised of 511 parts and the case alone required 400 hours of fine adjustment. This highly desirable number 8 in the edition was reportedly ordered by Royalty, the retail price when released in 2009 was 500,000 Swiss Francs.
