Chopard, Imperiale, made in the 1990's. Extremely fine, water-resistant, 18K yellow gold and diamond gentleman's wristwatch with round button chronograph, registers and date.

C. two body, massive, polished, bezel set with diamonds, central lugs set with 30 diamonds "baguette ", chronograph buttons, winding-crown and lugs bars set with diamonds. D. matte silver with applied gold indexes and Roman numerals, "guilloche" auxiliary dials for the seconds, the 12 hours and 30 minutes registers, aperture for the date. "Lozenge " gold hands. M. with quartz standardization. Signed on the dial and the band, numbered on the back. Diam. 37 mm.

This watch is part of special editions made by Chopard. In 1860, Louis-Ulysse Chopard founded a high-precision watchmaking manufacture in Sonvilier in the Swiss Jura. Among others, it supplied watches to the Swiss Railways. In 1920 Chopard moved to Geneva launching the production of luxury watches. In 1963 Chopard was bought by Karl Scheufele, third of the line and owner of the German firm "Eszeha", founded in 1904, specializing in jewelry watches and jewelry. Production in both sites continued under the name of Chopard. In 1975, the company moved from the center of Geneva to its current Meyrin-Geneva location. That same year, the Chopard France distribution subsidiary was created, and, in 1976, the Chopard Watch Corporation was set up in New York. In 1996 Chopard returned to its roots by creating a fully-fledged "manufacture" in Fleurier, in the Swiss Jura, where a new automatic movement was crafted. It became the L.U.C. watch which was voted "Watch of the Year" in 1997 and which was produced in a limited edition of 1860 examples.
