C. Three piece, massive, "Directoire" polished, the dial aperture with spring loaded gold polished shutters. D. Matted silver with Arabic numerals and engine-turned border. Blued steel Breguet hands. M. 17"' rhodium plated, "fausses cotes" decoration, 29 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, eight adjustments, Breguet balance spring. Repeating on gongs with slide in the band. Signed on the dial and movement. In very good condition, accompanied by Certificate of Authenticity. Diam. 47 mm.

A similar watch is Illustr ated in Le Temps de Cartier; by Jader Barracca, Giampiero Negretti and Franco Nencini, page 31. This is an early example of a model made by Cartier, very popular in the 1920's. "Guillotine" is the term used in the manufacturing records to describe this type of watch.
