CARTIER ROCK CRYSTAL & DIAMOND POCKET WATCH Cartier, Paris, No. 404, the movement by European Watch and Clock Co., Inc. Made circa 1916. Very fine, rare and elegant, 18K gold, enamel, platinum and diamond-set rock crystal dress pocket watch. Accompanied by a period gold-tooled green leather Cartier box.

C. Rock crystal with diamond-set platinum band and platinum bow, yellow gold and white enamel bezel featuring alternate radial Roman numerals and flowerheads. D. Silver, engine-turned with outer minute track and inner five-minute Arabic numerals on a chapter ring. Blued steel Breguet hands. M. Cal. 16?? by the European Watch and Clock Co., Inc., rhodium-plated with fausses cotes decoration, 19 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with eight adjustments, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Dial signed Cartier, movement signed European Watch & Clock Co, case numbered on the bow. DIAM. 48.5 mm. THICKNESS 6 mm.
