In this note, written around 1820, Breguet father and son clearly explain the differences between their inking chronograph and that of " Monsieur Rieussec ", notably for " the measurement of the speed of race horses ". The two Breguets describe with great precision the many possible developments of their inking chronograph, especially in the field of astronomy, " to measure the passage of a star ".
