Allégrone & Emery, Geneva, made for the Islamic market, circa 1830. Fine 18K gold and enamel hunting-cased quarter-repeating watch with original gold and enamel Breguet-style key and short gold chain.
C. Four-body, ?bassine et filets?, both covers centered by a rose enamel rosette with scarlet borders, the front one with a painted flower bouquet, the back with Arabic initials, outer borders divided into eight segments of alternating rose and green enamel, the green ones decorated with champlevé flowers, the rose ones with painted on enamel flowers, gold hinged cuvette, chased bezels, pendant and bow. D. White enamel, Islamic markers, outer minute ring. Gold Breguet hands. M. 42 mm (18 1/2???), frosted gilt, 10 jewels, cylinder escapement, three-arm gilt balance, flat balance spring, compensation curb, pare-chute on the top pivot, repeating on gongs by pull-and-twist pendant. Signed on the cuvette. Diam. 51 mm.
