Breguet, Horloger de la Marine Royale, No. 127, sold on April 27, 1835, to Baron Delmare for 1,800 francs. Very fine two-tone 20K gold and silver quarter-repeating watch, accompanied by a Breguet morocco fitted box.
C. Four-body, ?forme quatre baguettes? No. 4089, by Tavernier, engine-turned, silver band, gold hinged cuvette. D. White enamel, radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions, subsidiary sunk seconds at 5 o?clock, secured by a single foot. Blued steel Breguet hands. M. 42 mm (19???), gilt brass, bar caliber, Breguet ruby cylinder escapement, plain three-arm gilt balance, flat balance spring, compensation curb, pare-chute elastic suspension on the top pivot, jeweled escapement, repeating on two gongs with two hammers by pull-and-twist piston at 2 o?clock on the band. Signed on dial and case. Diam. 48 mm.
