(Abraham Louis) Breguet & Fils, Paris, No. 2200, commencé en 1807, sold for the first time to Mr. Flahaut on August 31st 1814 for Fr. 3'000, bought back from the same on April 1st 1822 for Fr. 2'000, sold to Mr. Le Comte de la Feronnay on November 30st, for Fr. 3'400. Rare and important 18-carat gold half quarter repeating lever watch, "sur le principe des gardetemps", with certificate No. 3724.
Four body engine turned case "quatre-baguettes" ( renewed), made by Joly (case maker), gold cuvette. Engine turned silver dial with Roman numerals and offset subsidiary seconds. Blued steel Breguet hands. Most inusual frosted gilt brass movement, 15 jewels, early straight line lever escapement, the first made by Breguet with "draw", two armed cut bimetaIIic balance with recessed screws, double "parachute" suspension one at each pivot, Breguet balance-spring with adjusting coller. Repeating on gong with a single hammer by mean of a locking pump. In good condition. Diam. 48 mm.
