?A Monsieur Chaudoir? Breguet, No. 1369, sold to Monsieur Chaudoir on 6 Frimaire, An 12 (November 27, 1804), for 1,240 francs. Very fine and rare, 20K gold ?repetition à cuvette?, dumb quarter repeating pocket watch with ruby cylinder escapement.
C. Four-body, "Empire", No. 411, by Amy Gros, engineturned and polished, reeded band. Gilt brass cuvette. D. White enamel by Borel, No. 203, Breguet numerals and outer minute track, secret signature below 12. Blued steel "Breguet" hands. M. 47 mm. (21???), gilt, standing barrel, overhanging ruby cylinder escapement, plain three-arm balance with parachute on the top pivot, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator with bimetallic temperature compensation curb, all-or-nothing repeating with two hammers on the side of the case activated by depressing the pendant. Dial and cuvette signed. Diam. 54 mm.
