"A Monsieur Delaroquette" Breguet, No. 1407, sold to Monsieur Delaroquette on 14 Ventose, An 12 (March 3, 1805), for 1,320 francs. Very fine and rare, "répétition à cuvette", 18K gold pocket watch with quarter repeating à toc and ruby cylinder escapement. Accompanied by an original fitted box.
C. Four-body, "Empire", No. 409, by Amy Gros (master mark), engine-turned and polished, reeded band. Gilt brass cuvette. D. White enamel by Borel, Breguet numerals and outer minute track, secret signature below 12. Blued steel "Breguet" hands. M. 47 mm., gilt, standing barrel, overhanging ruby cylinder escapement, plain three-arm balance with parachute on the top pivot, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator with bimetallic temperature compensation curb, all-or-nothing repeating with two hammers on the side of the case activated by depressing the pendant. Dial and cuvette signed. Diam. 53 mm.
