Breguet, Horloger de la Marine Royale, No. 4353, commissioned to Wenharn on 28 December 1825, for 3800 Francs, bought back and resold through Mr. Palli on 31 December 1835, for 3000 Francs. Fine and rare small 18K gold and silver half-quarter repeating watch with date, accompanied by the original red leather fitted box and gold male ratchet key.
C. Three body "forme quatre baguette" with silver body, by Tavernier No. 4080, fully engine-turned "a grains d'orge", silver band, gold bezel and back. Gold detachable cuvette. D. Silver engine-turned with Roman numerals on the polished chapter ring, small calendar aperture below chapter "XII" . Gold Breguet hands. M. 14- , gilt brass, the going barrel a arbre perce, overhanging ruby cylinder escapement, plain gold three-arm balance with pare-chute suspension, flat blued steel balance spring. Half quarter repeating on one gong with a single hammer, through a steel intermediate steel block, pull-twist piston in the band. Signed on the dial and cuvette, secret signature on the dial. Accompanied by Breguet certificate. Diam. 37 mm.
