Breguet & Fils No. 2193, sold to Mr. Amil Bey on 2 October 1817, for 4000 Piastres. Very fine 18K gold, quarter repeating Grande and Petite Sonnerie striking clock watch, made for the Islamic Market, in a red leather fitted box, accompanied by the original short chain and ratchet key.
C. Four body "forme quatre baguettes" by Joly, No. 1920, engine-turned " a grains d'orge" . Gold detachable cuvette. D. White enamel with Turkish numerals. Blued steel Breguet hands. M. 20 -, gilt brass full plate double train with twin barrel retained by a single bridge, overhanging ruby cylinder escapement, plain brass three-arm balance with parechute suspension on the top pivot, blued steel flat balance spring. Grande and Petite Sonnerie on two gongs with two hammers, the Strike/Silent and "Grande/Petite" selection lever through the bezel. Independent quarter repeating train with two hammers and two gongs, with pull-twist piston through the pendant. Signed on the dial, cuvette and movement. Secret signature below chapter 12. Accompanied by Breguet certificate No. 2136. Diam. 56 mm.
