Very fine and very rare, eight-day mahogany and brass-cased marine chronometer with power reserve indication.
C. Two-body solid mahogany box with sliding observation panel in the lid. Brass handles and fittings. The movement mounted in a cylindrical brass bowl and suspended within shaped square gimbals. D. Matte silvered, eccentric, signed ?Breguet Neveu & Comp., No. 3219,? radial Roman numerals and outer dot minute markers, symmetrically positioned subsidiary seconds ring, power-reserve sector on the right. Blued steel Breguet hands. M. Brass, three-quarter plate with spotted finish and turned pillars, fusee and chain, maintaining power, navette-shaped platform with spring detent escapement, No. 21, bimetallic two-arm, free-sprung compensation balance with cylindrical weights and peripheral adjustment screws, blued steel helical balance spring with terminal curves and adjustable stud.
