BENTLEY & BECK ROYAL EXCHANGE LONDON NO. 1440. ENAMEL AND YELLOW GOLD Bentley & Beck Royal Exchange, London. No. 1440. Made circa 1816. Fine, 18K yellow gold pocket watch with cylinder escapement.
OUTER: two-body, INNER: Two-body, "bassine" form, polished, gilt dust cap. White enamel with radial Roman numerals and outer minute track, subsidiary for the seconds, yellow gold beetle and poker hands. 44mm. Hinged gilt brass full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain, cylinder escapement with steel escape wheel, plain brass three-arm balance with three screws, flat balance spring, gilt brass cock pierced, diamond endstone. Movement and dust cap signed.
