Audemars Piguet - Split-Second Chronograph Minute-Repeater - Retailed by Cartier Audemars Piguet & Co, Brassus & Geneva, No. 14651. Made circa 1915. Very fine and rare, minute-repeating, keyless, 18K yellow gold pocket watch with split-seconds chronograph and progressive 30-minute register.
C. Four-body, ?demi bassine,? solid, polished, hinged gold cuvette. D. Silver with applied radial yellow gold Arabic numerals and pyramid indexes, outer 1/5th seconds track with 5-minute/seconds Arabic markers, subsidiary dials for the seconds and progressive 30-minute register. Yellow gold baton hands. M. Cal. 17???, rhodium-plated, fausses cotes decoration, 23 jewels, 8 adjustments, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance adjusted to 3 positions, blued steel Breguet balance spring, swan neck micrometer regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 49 mm. Thickness 11 mm.
