Notes

Founded in 1875 by Jules-Louis Audemars and Edward-Auguste Piguet in the Swiss village of Le Brassus,Audemars Piguet is the oldest Manufacture of Haute Horlogerie never to have left the hands of the founding families. Today, its range encompasses complex mechanical watches, Haute Joaillerie creations as well as a line of jewellery. At each stage in its history, the Manufacture has daringly adopted avant-garde techniques in order to place them in the service of traditional craftsmanship. Royal Oak Offshore Volcano chronograph When first launched in 1972, the Royal Oak overturned the existing codes of Haute Horlogerie by ennobling steel to the rank of a precious metal and using it to create a high-end sports watch. Twenty years later, the famous octagon was reinterpreted in an extreme sports version: the Royal Oak Offshore. This boldly futuristic line features watches with oversized cases and associates steel with rubber.
