Blancpain ?Ultra-Thin? Pièce Unique.
Fantasy defines the mood of this ultra-rare timepiece.Blancpain?s watchmakers have conceived a window flowing like a stream across the centre of the dial and opening onto the going train of the watch. The lucky owner will be unlikely to want to keep his watch tucked away in his pocket out of sight. He will instead doubtless prefer to contemplate the flow of energy from the mainspring barrel through the gear train to balance wheel and escapement, all of which may be admired through the dial of the Blancpain Only Watch. Moreover, the bridges have been skeletonized by hand, reducing their thickness to the minimum and thereby enhancing the view by further exposing the delicate movements of the gears, escapement and balance wheel. The dial itself is a masterpiece of fine handcraftsmanship.Fashioned out of solid gold, the broad surfaces of the dial have been sculpted out to create a basin for a traditional grand feu enamel surface. Layer upon layer of enamel has been spread by hand across the dial, each one individually oven fired. The enamel has been imbued with a warm brown colour applied in multiple layers to endow the dial with a rich patina, in perfect harmony with the yellow gold borders of the dial?s movement windows. The hour indexes, also fashioned out of yellow gold, are set into the enamel surface. The 45 mm yellow gold case is of the half hunter style, featuring a hinged back cover that opens to reveal the reverse side of the calibre 15 ultra-thin manual-winding movement, endowed with a 40-hour power-reserve.

Daniel Roth ?Tourbillon Date Retrograde Double Face? Pièce Unique.
A Tourbillon Retrograde Date adorned with a unique dial Mid-way between a cyclical and a linear vision of time, the retrograde date mechanism offers an intriguing display on the dial of this second exceptional double-face model. The dial specially created for the occasion and built on a plate in 4N pink gold, displays indications of the hours, seconds and date featuring a satin-brushed 4N pink gold finish, while the frosty blue dial base is decorated with a sunray-guilloché motif. The hour and minute hands in flame-blued steel glide over a section of the hour-circle in Roman numerals extending from VIII to IV only, leaving ample room at 6 o'clock for the tourbillon carriage and for the seconds hand with T-shaped counterweight (echoing the T in Roth), that can be seen on its axis. The DR 730 mechanical 34-jewel hand-wound tourbillon movement driving these stunning dial displays also operates the 64-hour powerreserve on the back of the movement, which can be viewed through the see-through back of the 41 mm Daniel Roth double-ellipse case. As on all Daniel Roth watches, the movement is decorated and finished in harmony with the noblest traditions of Haute Horlogerie. Frédérique Constant ?Heart Beat Zerodur?, Pièce Unique.
For "Only Watch 07", we are pleased and honoured to present an exceptionally unique and revolutionary wristwatch, featuring a Zerodur® Balance Wheel and a Silicium Escapement Wheel. In line with watch industry developments, Frédérique Constant has been researching the application of new high-tech materials for its manufacture calibres: Zerodur® is a glass ceramic with an extremely low thermal expansion coefficient and an outstandingly homogenous material structure. Because of its unique properties, Zerodur® is a preferred high-tech material for components used in astronomy and satellite technology such as mirror substrates of earthbound and orbital telescopes. Frédérique Constant has adopted the use of Zerodur® to conceive a balance wheel that is totally non-magnetic and insensitive to temperature changes. The use of a Zerodur® balance wheel will improve the accuracy and performance of the movement. An additional advantage of Zerodur® is its transparency: a balance wheel made of Zerodur® ensures an optimal visibility of the moving parts of the Frédérique Constant Heart Beat Manufacture movement. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first time that Zerodur® technology is being used in watch manufacturing. Silicium is the chemical element in the periodic table with symbol Si. Silicium, a mineralbased material, is extremely light, has a good elasticity, is anti-magnetic and has a very low friction coefficient. In its crystalline form, silicium has a dark grey colour and a metallic lustre. Silicium has been used for many years in other industries - and is the principal component of most semiconductor devices. The accuracy of a mechanical movement depends on the accuracy of its regulating organ, i.e. the balance with its spring. The purpose of the escapement is to maintain the oscillations of the balance, and a crucial element in escapement design is to give just enough energy to the balance wheel in order to keep it swinging, yet to interfere with its oscillations as little as possible. As the lubrication of escapement ages, friction will increase, and less power will be transferred to the balance wheel. Apart from the increased energy efficiency due to its lower weight and inertia, the biggest advantage of the silicium escapement wheel is that it needs no oiling, increasing the movement's precision and longevity. Case : Two-piece, 18K rose gold, water-resistant to 3 ATM, convex sapphire crystal, sapphire crystal case back, case back engraved "Pièce Unique - Only Watch 2007" diameter: 41 mm, thickness: 13 mm Alligator strap, 18K rose gold buckle. Gerald Charles ?A-Evolution-Accumulation? Pièce Unique.
?Gérald Genta celebrates César? A lifelong friendship between the two artists finds its expression today in this unique timepiece. Both men met in Geneva for the opening of Gérald Genta?s shop. From that moment onwards a true artistic complicity developed between them which translated itself in numerous trips to Roquefort les Pins, to Paris or to Grasse where both men met up with Arman. For César, Gérald Genta manufactured in gold his famous ?breast? and sold them alongside with his ?compression? method that the sculptor favoured. But he had to add as always a unique movement. This watch is equipped with a movement called ?à evolution? which is totally innovative in its conception. As for the case and dial they are the result of the ?compression? of the three colours of gold. Time runs, you cannot capture it but art stays forever. This is the message of this watch. Glashütte Original, ?Prince?s Palace of Monaco?, Pièce Unique.
Manufacturing the Dials Working with the reputable German porcelain manufactory in Meissen, an exceptionally aesthetic dial was created. The ceramic characteristics of porcelain, pure white with a shiny surface, lend this watch the perfect touch as it is so flawlessly painted. The manufacture of this dial began with the shaping of a little disc using a formable porcelain mixture, after which it was fired at 1400°C. Further work on the disc ensures the exact measurements needed to complete the watch. The disc underwent strict quality control, and only the most perfect hand-selected disc ended up being painted. The Monaco palace motif was painted by a highly qualified landscape painter using very fine brushes. The porcelain paints were applied in two layers, and each layer was fired in the kiln at 900°C in order to get the desired depth. The Glashütte Original logo was also painted by hand, as were the crossed swords of the Meissen logo. Then the disc is fired one final time. The Manufacture Watch Movement The precision of the unique Prince?s Palace of Monaco is expressed in the quality of its fine movement. Inside the precious timekeeper beats manufacture Caliber 49-08. Manufactured in the Glashütte Original manufactory, all components of this mechanical watch movement are finely finished, tin polished with edges beveled, and the jewels set in gold chatons and individually screwmounted with blued screws. The winding wheels of the precise manufacture movement are decorated with a double sunburst pattern and the wheel bridges with Glashütte ribbing. The balance with its 18 gold weighted screws beats at a frequency of 4 Hz. This one-of-a-kind timekeeper housed in a sold rose gold case has a power reserve of 40 hours. Glashütte Original represents a living, authentic manufactory, high exclusivity, traditional watchmaking since 1845, exclusive mechanical masterpieces, and ?handmade in Germany.? Harry Winston ?Avenue Exotic Birds - Set n°1 of a limited edition of 5?
VARIATIONS BY HARRY WINSTON ON THE THEME OF EXOTIC BIRDS New collection ? new challenge This project is a major first for Harry Winston. Indeed, it is the first time that enamel has been used with diamonds. Furthermore, this challenge has provided a particularly rare opportunity for the various traditional watchmaking crafts and time-honoured skills to come together. A rich and subtle theme Despite the small size of the dial, the ultimate expression of these exotic birds is achieved through their stylised beauty. The bird is represented by its plumage in a refined evocation through a kind of visual metonymy. This mini-collection creates a luminous atmosphere using a rich palette of shaded natural colours that unfurls from the dial to the case. A subtle reinterpretation and legendary craftsmanship Merely glancing at the dials of the four pieces instantly reveals their asymmetry; a hallmark of the brand reinterpreted here through the interplay of colours, as well as the design itself. Gems are a particular field of Harry Winston?s expertise: here, brilliant-cut white diamonds and naturally coloured sapphires have been selected using the most stringent criteria. Their hue is a determining factor in creating the subtle shading of colours specific to each bird; matching them together and then with the enamel was a particularly lengthy and painstaking task. Limited series and charity auction Each of the watches comes on a satin strap in a colour that harmonises with the dial. The mini-collection will be produced in limited series and will only be available through the very few Harry Winston salons worldwide. In addition, Harry Winston is committed to making its c o n t r i b u t i o n t o a n a u c t i o n b e i n g o rg a n i s e d by Antiquorum, the profit from which will be donated to an association for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (Monaco). International Watch Co. Schaffhausen ?Fliegeruhr 5026, Perpetual Calendar? Pièce Unique.
One-of-a-kind BIG PILOT?S WATCH PERPETUAL CALENDAR The watchmakers at IWC Schaffhausen are truly ?engineers of fine watchmaking?, creating intelligent designs in a timelessly classical style. These creations have a lasting reputation for elegance and practicality. And here, the watch designers at IWC Schaffhausen have drawn on all the expertise at their disposal. The Big Pilot?s Watch, limited to one unique piece, brilliantly combines two outstanding mechanisms. Its driving force is the large IWC 5000-calibre automatic movement with Pellaton winding, a seven-day power reserve and date ? the same one found in the classic Big Pilot?s Watch. Mounted on this is a perpetual calendar of the kind familiar to IWC devotees from the Grande Complication and Da Vinci. The calendar functions are virtually identical with those of the models mentioned above, except that the mechanism has been enlarged. This makes the individual displays easier to read. Three subsidiary displays tell the wearer the date (at 3 o?clock), the month (at 6 o?clock), the day (at 9 o?clock) and the year (in four digits) in a window between 7 and 8 o?clock. Jaeger-LeCoultre?Joaillerie 101 Etrier?, Pièce Unique.
Joaillerie 101 Etrier Offering a contemporary reinterpretation of the horizontal Etrier 101, a classic of 1930s rectangular elegance, the new Joaillerie 101 Etrier is a work of sparkling and precious originality. The refinement of the features and the placement of the winder on the back of the case are unchanged, but whereas the first Etrier was driven by the famous Duoplan move¬ment, today it beats to the rhythm of Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 101. Timeless, original and available in 18-carat white gold with a satin strap, the incarnation of the Joaillerie Etrier 101 form the lines of a sparkling poem of Haute Joaillerie and horological excellence dedicated to the Eternal Woman. Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 101 Since 1929, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 101 holds the record as the smallest mechanical movement ever made. This stunning watch has never ceased to capture the hearts of women who appreciate ?la belle horlogerie?. The rarity of this masterpiece is attributable to its smallness. Made of 98 components, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 101 weighs hardly one gram and is just 0.2 cm3, or 14 x 4.8 x 3.4 mm in size. The winding mechanism of this watch is in-laid on the reverse side of the case. Thanks to the numerous delightful creations centered around this tiny movement, it will capture women?s hearts forever.
