Rectangular with canted corners, the top hinged lid with a finely painted on enamel scene representing a music lesson with a young lady holding music and singing, while a boy accompanies her on a flute and another listens, with a large column at the left and mountains in the background, gold acanthus leaf frame, translucent dark blue enamel on each side over engine-turning partially painted black, in typical Rémond fashion, in a discrete geometrical pattern, half pearl border, borders and corners with champlevé enameled foliage decoration, the side panels and the bottom with en suite translucent dark blue enamel over engine-turning painted with black geometrical pattern. Revealed by the lid, the varicolored gold automaton scene features a young lady playing the dulcimer, accompanied by a monkey playing the triangle, while three people beat time and applaud at the end of the concert. Breguet, No. 2090, enamel by Lallemand, production started 1806, sold to Esseyd Aly Effendi on September 16, 1808 for 3,360 francs. Extremely fine and very rare 22K gold and enamel pair-cased "cabriolet" double-train grande et petite sonnerie clockwatch with independent quarter-repeating, accompanied by a certificate and copies of the manufacturing register.

By master casemaker Amy Gros No. 894, outer: two body, entirely covered with translucent scarlet enamel over engine-turning with sunburst pattern at the back, center decorated with gold paillon star and a crescent within paillon sunburst rosette, border with superbly made gold paillon foliate wreath, bezels with champlevé blue, green, yellow enamel forming foliate and floral pattern against translucent scarlet enamel over parallel flinqué pattern, the back cover engraved inside: "Hadji Assim Effendi". The Dutch Kitchen Attributed to Pierre Simon Gou-nouilhou, Geneva, No. 8030, circa 1815. Very rare and equally fine 18K gold and enamel double-face watch with an automaton scene.

The Shield Piguet et Capt a Genéve, No. 111, circa 1810. Very fine and rare 18K gold and enamel, half pearl- and diamond-set fob watch with visible spinning balance.

Three-piece, shield-shaped, back and band wholly engraved with scrolling, three pearl-set gold and enamel link chains terminated with a large natural pearl in a gold and enamel and rose-cut diamond setting, with a gold pin. The Butterfly Piguet et Meylan, Geneva, No. 3459, circa 1820, made for the Chinese Market. Exceptionally fine and very rare 18K gold and enamel, diamond, emerald and half pearl-set musical automaton box in a shape of a butterfly fitted, with a watch, in a fitted wooden box.

Four-body, hinged wings, one revealing the watch and automaton, the other a compartment, finely painted on enamel, each wing set with two good-sized diamonds, their edges set with half pearls, diamond-set thorax in translucent violet and red enamel, emerald-set eyes, sides with translucent scarlet and dark blue enamel over flinqué pattern, the bottom in translucent red enamel over unusual wave engine-turning with azure border decorated with gold leaf pattern. The Barking Dog J.D. Piguet & P. Meylan, Geneva, No. 174, circa 1820. Very rare and very fine 18K gold, quarter-repeating "barking dog" automaton watch.

Eccentric, set at the top of dark blue translucent enamel engine-turned plate, white enamel, Roman numerals, outer minute divisions. Gold "spade" hands. Lower part with applied varicolored gold and silver automaton scene of a dog barking at a couple of birds courting in a nest, the dog moves its head with each movement of the bellows, the whole on applied gold grass.
